About Us

I’m Victoria and I have a passion for creating dishes and menus for special occasions with vintage style. I have catered for picnics, garden parties, hen dos, soirees, weddings, afternoon teas and buffets at home, in the office, in the local hall or in the countryside since 2010. I also hired out lovely mismatched, porcelain china and accessories. Mix quality, local ingredients, a generous spoonful of creativity then lace with retro chic trimmings, and you’ll discover my recipe for a truly memorable Vintage Rose food experience.

For years I’ve loved baking and having tea parties at home with friends celebrating birthdays or pre-wedding festivities. I get my inspiration from the food on my doorstep, literature and from each customer I meet.  I always try to combine my love of all things vintage, with my love of cooking by sharing my treasured collections of vintage china, rugs, picnic baskets, cake stands, bunting and of course baking with you. I have passed the Basic and Intermediate Food Hygiene course and have Public Liability Insurance.  I prepare everything from scratch using fresh locally sourced ingredients. That is why you will find Vintage Rose preserves in your cakes and Homemade salad dressings with your buffets, my home-made cordials and lemonades with your afternoon teas, some of which are made from plants, herbs and fruit foraged in the fields and woodlands of Derbyshire where I live. Now after four years of taking afternoon tea parties all over Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire I have opened up a beautiful Tea Room set within the parkland of Dronfield.  It’s located in Cliffe Park on Callywhite Lane S18 2Xp I welcome you to join us.

Attention to detail is very important to me and my aim is to make people very happy.

Designed for you

My catering service is bespoke, that does not mean it has to cost a fortune, it simply means I love creating menus and an experience that reflects the individual taste of each customer and occasion. You can specify what you’d like, hire out any accessories, and I’ll tailor a package to suit your party and budget.  Alternatively, if you’d like to kick back in your deck chair and think of nothing more than the treats and homemade cake to come, I’ve designed a series of themed menus. Just let me help you create a special vintage event to remember. Call into our Tearoom and take tea with us and discuss your party and celebration with us we will create a truly special event for you.

A vintage country tea

The kettle is boiling
The cloth is now laid,
With vintage china
And cakes all handmade.
The beautiful cupcakes
A joy to the eye,
Made with butter and cream
And whipped up high.

Sponge cakes and scones
With homemade jams,
Sandwiches filled with
Home-cooked pickles and hams.
This vintage tea party
Tasty, so fine,
If you’d like to taste one
Then drop me a line.
